Suburban Lions Hockey Club Fees and Refund Policy

To outline the Suburban Lions Hockey Club’s (SLHC) guidelines for the refund of registration fees, events and clinics. 

Fees Policy

All players must be financial members of the Suburban Lions Hockey Club. Individual fees shall be paid at the time of registration. If you wish to pay your fees via a payment plan, you will need to have this authorised by the club treasurer.

Non-Payment of Fees

Individuals who have not paid their respective fees, or made alternative authorised arrangements to do so, are deemed to be uninsured in terms of public liability and sports injury claims. Unpaid players as of 1 June 2024 will be ineligible to play any further games for the club from the first scheduled game after 1 June 2024 to such date that all fees are paid. Unpaid individuals will also be ineligible for a club clearance and/or transfer until the remaining outstanding fees are paid.

Refund Categories

Change of Mind or Club Transfer

Any player who registers with the SLHC and has paid their registration fees (part of or in full) and changes their mind about playing for the SLHC or seeks a transfer to another club will not be eligible for a refund of their registration fees.

Work Transfer

Any player who registers with the SLHC and has paid their registration fees (part of or in full) and is unable to continue to play for the season due to a work transfer will be eligible for a credit towards the next season’s registration fees or a refund.

Illness or Medical Condition

Any player who registers with the SLHC and has paid their registration fees (part of or in full) and is unable to continue to play for the season due to an illness or medical condition will be eligible for a credit towards the next season’s registration fees or a refund.

Other

Any player who registers with the SLHC and has paid their registration fees (part of or in full) and is unable to continue to play for the season due to any other reason/situation not listed above may be eligible for a credit towards the next season’s registration fees or refund.

The credit towards the next season’s registration fees or refund will be at the discretion of the Executive Committee in consultation with the player.

Events and Clinics

Any person/player who registers with the SLHC to participate in an Event or Clinic and is unable to attend due to any reason/situation will not be eligible for a refund.

Refund Procedure

Any player requesting a credit towards the next season’s registration fees or refund must do so in writing to the Secretary via email – secretary@suburbanlions.org.au

The request must state the refund category which applies and clearly outlines the reason for the request.

Once the request has been processed and approved, confirmation will be provided by the Secretary via return email.

The SLHC Executive Committee is responsible for ensuring that the Fee Refund Policy is adhered to at all times.
