Junior Coaching Expression of Interest

Suburban Lions Hockey Club is a vibrant hockey club based in Perth's western suburbs, and we are seeking to expand our coaching staff in 2024.

The club caters to hockey players of all ages and abilities, from minkey, junior and senior turf teams playing in the highest grades through to veterans and grass hockey for the more socially inclined. We pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive and enjoyable environment for all, whilst attaining several recent premierships, consistent finals appearances, and having a number of representative players competing in State and National Championships, and for Australia at the Olympics.

We have around 15 junior teams each year and aspire to provide all of these teams with enthusiastic and energetic coaches that will enhance each player’s experience at the club in 2024 and beyond. Whether you are a novice or experienced coach, we believe you have something to offer towards our youth teams’ development and progress in the upcoming season which runs from the end of April to September.

The role will include a training session per week and on game day.

The Director of Coaching will support our junior coaches throughout the hockey season, providing them with resources and essential training before the commencement of the season, to ensure a quality and consistent approach to each training session, as well as game day.
